Watercolor Challenge

Over at Inspiration Emporium the design team was challenged to make a watercolor project. We could use any medium we wanted.

I chose Distress Markers and here is my project.

Using several colors of Distress Markers I colored my stamp, spritzed the stamp with water and then I stamped it onto Sticky Back canvas. Love this look on the canvas!

Color the background by using an Ink Blending Tool and a little Distress Ink. If you want to soften the look you can spritz the canvas with a little water then dry with a Heat Tool.

I wanted to add some texture and interest to the background so a stamped the writing with Wild Honey Distress Ink.

Tatter the edge of the StickyBack Canvas by pulling threads from the sides, use a Craft Pick to help get the threads started. Mount the stickyBack Canvas to a green matt. Use a Paper Distresser to distress the edges of the green matt.

Thread Crinkle Ribbon through a Word Band and tie with a bow around the matt. Distress the edges of the Yellow base card with a Paper Distresser and mount the flowers onto your card.

Add the bird charm with glue dots.

Get out some markers, re-inkers, watercolors, or what ever tickles your fancy and take a creative journey!

Inspiration Emporium is challenging you to make a project.
You could even win $50 in Emporium Dollars. WOW!!
