Halloween Configuration Book Part 14

Hi Bloggers! We are sooo close to finishing!!

Isn't this little Owl super cute!

Gather your supplies! Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, Black Soot), Antique Linen Distress Paint, Sanding Grip. Die cut a small branch from the Rickety Tree using Grunge Board and the Mini Owl from Grunge Board.

Trim a few branches for the box. Ink the branches with Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink using an Ink Blending tool. Sand the edges and reink with Distress Ink.

Using foam tape to attach the branches to the little box.

Paint the Owl with Antique Linen Distress Paint. Let dry. Sand the edges with a Sanding Grip.

Ink the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink on an Ink Blending tool. To ink the branch bend the Owl piece to expose the branch and ink with an Ink Blending Tool.

Use game pieces to elevate the owl. I stacked 2 pieces on top of each other and hot glued it to the back of the owl.

I'll be back tomorrow for the final post.

This is a sweet owl. I love the texture and contrast of the Black Soot against the Antique Linen.

I made the owl box, too. Once again, I do not have the die set with the owl and the moon, such a good one. I used the branches from the Halloween Strip Die and then I adhered an owl brooch again, (a treasure I found at Cathie Filian's Etsy shop) that I'd distressed with Espresso Paint Dauber. It turned out really cute yet spooky.

Thanks again for your wonderful ideas.
