Hi Bloggers! We are sooo close to finishing!!

Isn't this little Owl super cute!

Gather your supplies! Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Gathered Twigs, Black Soot), Antique Linen Distress Paint, Sanding Grip. Die cut a small branch from the Rickety Tree using Grunge Board and the Mini Owl from Grunge Board.

Trim a few branches for the box. Ink the branches with Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs Distress Ink using an Ink Blending tool. Sand the edges and reink with Distress Ink. 

Using foam tape to attach the branches to the little box. 

Paint the Owl with Antique Linen Distress Paint. Let dry. Sand the edges with a Sanding Grip. 

Ink the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink on an Ink Blending tool. To ink the branch bend the Owl piece to expose the branch and ink with an Ink Blending Tool.

Use game pieces to elevate the owl. I stacked 2 pieces on top of each other and hot glued it to the back of the owl.

Halloween Configuration Book Part 13

Hi bloggers! We are so close to getting done. 

Only a few more boxes to go and Halloween is just around the corner. 

Spiders, spiders everywhere. 

Gather your supplies - Shrink Plastic, Bird Cage, Fired Brick Distress Glitter, Black Soot Distress Paint and Black and Cream Trimmings. Die cut several Mini Spiders form Shrink Plastic. 

Shrink the Spiders by heating with a heat tool. As they curl and shrink you can hold them with a craft pick. Continue to heat until they flatten back out. 

Paint the back sides of the spiders with Black Soot Distress Paint. Let dry.

Add a little Glossy Accents.

Add Distress Glitter to the Glossy Accents. Let dry.

Open the Bird Cage by removing the jump ring and cover back with spider web paper. Add spiders as desired and close the birdcage by replacing the jump ring. Use foam tape to adhere the Bird Cage to the box.  Embellish the top with a piece of black and cream trimmings and a few more spiders. 

When you finish you can upload your project as late as Friday, November 15th at midnight PST. I can't wait to see what you've done!

Halloween Configuration Book Part 12

Hi friends! It's "time" for the clock.

I love to use Rock Candy Crackle Paint to create a old vintage look. 

Gather some supplies - Rock Candy Crackle Paint, Distress Stain (tea dye, gathered twigs), Picket Fence Distress Paint, Crossbones, Game Spinners, Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, Ink Blending Tool and Numeric Rub Ons. 

Die cut the Mini Wall Clock from Grunge Board. 

Push out the center of the Clock and paint with Picket Fence Distress Paint. Let dry.

Sand and ink the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink. 

Cut out numerals and rub onto the clock face.

Poke a hole in the center and add the Game Spinner to the center with a Mini Fastener in the center. 

Use Distress Stain to color the clock face. Let dry. 

Sand and ink the Wall Clock with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.

Paint Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint over the body of the wall clock. Let dry.

After the Crackle Paint dries put the clock face back in the clock. Adhere Game Pieces to the back of the Wall Clock and adhere to the little box. 

Adhere the Crossbones to the Wall Clock. Add the "Exhibit "A" but adhering with Matte Medium. Push the Long Fasteners in between the little boxes.

Halloween Configuration Book Part 11

Hi friends! So glad to be back blogging!  

Let's put the finishing touches on the cover. 

Gather your supplies. Distress paint (picket fence, black soot, walnut stain, vintage photo), Gathered Twigs Distress Ink, Blending tool, Swivel Clasp, Jump Rings, Word Keys, Plaquette, Crinkle Ribbon, Cross Bones, Curio Knobs, Enameled Tags.

Die cuts - Crescent Moon from Grunge Board, Branch Tree from Grunge, Iron Gate Decorative Strip die cut from black Kraft'Core, Bats Garland Decorative Strip die cut from Black Kraft'core.

Paint Curio Knob, Enameled Tag and the Plaquette with Black Soot Distress Paint. 

Before the paint dries wipe off paint with a soft towel. The Enameled Tag should remain pretty solid black to receive the white rub ons. 

Add elements to a the Swivel Clasp with Jump Rings. Thread the blackish Crinkle ribbon we dyed in an earlier post through the Jump Ring. 

To instal the Curio Knob poke a hole with a craft pick. Then use your scissor end to ream out the hole a little. AKA - the scissor drill as Tim calls it. 

Screw the Curio Knob in place. 

Tie the Ribbon around the knob with a square knot. 

Paint the back of the fence with Black Soot Distress Paint. 

Trim fence to size. I lined up the children with the gate so it looked like the children just walked through. 

Add Glue and Seal to the bottom edge and glue to the front of the box. 

Add a little Glue and seal to the sides of the fence. 

Paint the Crescent with Picket Fence Distress Paint. 

Sand and distress the edges with Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool. Don't forget to paint and distress the backside of the moon too. 

Adhere the Crescent to the front cover. 

Paint the tree with Distress Paint. Use a blending tool with a piece of foam to blend the paints with a pouncing motion. Let dry. 

Sand the edges and ink with Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.  

Hot glue some moss under the trunk of the tree. 

Add a few bat in and around the tree.

Halloween Configuration Book Part 10

Hi bloggers! Hope you're all having an awesome weekend.

Today we're going to work on the wreath. 

 Gather some supplies. Black soot distress stain, ripe persimmon reinker, crinkle ribbon, our wreath, some more die cut bats and a mini mister bottle. 

Fill the mini mister bottle with water and add a dropper full of ripe persimmon reinker. 

Spray both sides of the wreath and dry with a heat tool.

Ink the wreath with a little distress ink on an ink bending tool.

Spray the crinkle ribbon with water. 

Apply black soot distress stain directly to your craft sheet. Pick up the ink with the ribbon. Repeat if necessary. 

Dry the ribbon with a heat tool and scrunch it up as it dries.

If you want to glitter you bat apply a generous coat of glue n seal and dip the bat into black soot dry glitter. 

Glue the elements into the little box.
