12 Tags of 2015 / Holiday Series - June Inspiration

Hello friends! Christmas is only a few days away and I think gift cards are a great last minute gift idea. The June tag offers a cleaver way to hold your gift cards by applying foam tape to the top and bottom of the cup allowing you to slide the gift card behind the cup. BRILLIANT!!

Use the Stripes Layering Stencil as a mono print in two directions to create this beautiful plaid effect. Even better is using it with the Distress DIY pad. You can try different color combinations to suit your mood. Like for spring time you might use pastel colors or reds for Valentines day.

12 Tags of 2015 / Holiday Card Series - August Inspiration

Hi everyone! The details on this card are endless. The die cut words, the little boy, ephemera, ChitChat stickers, the star and snowflake all make this card one of my favorites.    It has lots of layers and details to please the eye!

12 Tags Holiday Card Series #10
Creating a mixed media background always adds great dimension with all the layers. The die cut background is a way to use those die cuts in a new way and using your dies in different ways is always a winner in my book.

12 Tags of 2015 / Holiday Card Series - February Inspiration

Hello friends! I loved the tag from February! The layering of the background, the stitching on the felt star and the flash card brings a nostalgic feel to this card. Ephemera can be an easy way to create a patchwork for the base of our project.

I made this card while on a visit to a friends house (Paula Cheney) and used her sewing machine. I guess it's like using someone else's tools that your not familiar with. We laughed so hard…and I don't think my sewing is very good but it definitely adds charter to the card.

12 Tags of 2015 / Holiday Card Series - December Inspiration

Hi Friends! I'm back with more Holiday cards! These cards are from the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 for December! Tim shows us how to create this dimensional wreath using his punches. The red and green card is very traditional and vintage looking and the use of metallics gives such an elegant look!

12 Tags Holiday Card Series #8
I can hardly believe these Tim Holtz punches and how detailed they are. The handle is ergonomic, they are stackable for storage and have a locking latch. I had to make a metallic card using the Metallic Kraft-core along with the Silver and Gold Deco Sheets. Simply and beautiful! When using the Deco Sheets with punches its helpful to mount the Deco sheet onto a piece of paper first.

Bow Tied Decorative Strip

"White Christmas" Card
Background: Quilted Texture Fade
Wreath: Juniper, Pine, Laurel Punches
Bow Tied Decorative Strip
Embellishments: Jingle Brads, Mirrored Star, Small Talk Occasions
Splatter: Picket Fence Distress Paint with Distress Splatter Brush
Cardstock: Gold and Silver Deco Sheets and Metallic Kraft-core
Note: Sanding the Metallic Kraft-core changes the look of the cardstock.
I like to sand in a circular motion for this effect.

There will be no white Christmas were I live but one can dream right!

As Christmas gets closer and closer we all get so busy with the hustle and bustle called LIFE…don't forget to take time to enjoy the season with those that are close to you!

12 Tags of 2015 / Holiday Card Series - October Inspiration

Hi friends! My collection of Holiday cards is growing and it's very fun that they're all so different. Our next card is from the October 12 Tags of 2015. I have been a fan of the wrinkle free distress techniques since Tim showed it many years ago. It's still a big favorite of mine. I use it over and over again and the results are always amazing!

12 Tags of 2015 / Holiday Cards Series #7
I know this isn't a zombie but these wings and tree are very dimensional just like the zombie. I just didn't think a santa hat would make the zombie look Christmassy enough. lol

Feathered Wings Card
Background: Yuletide Paper Stash
Wings: Manila Cardstock (mounted on chipboard after coloring)
Wings Inks and Paints: Antique Linen Distress Ink, Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain and Gold Metallic Paint Dabber
Die Cut: Feathered Wings Bigz Die
Ribbon: Metallic Trimmings
Embellishments: Christmas Word Band, Wreath Adornments, Wire Pin and Star Souvenir Adornments with Distress Glitter Dust on it
Metel embellishments colored with Gold Alcohol Ink Mixative

Evergreen Tree Card
Background: Yuletide Paper Stash
Tree: Evergreen Bigz Die
Tree Inks: Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint, Ground Espresso Distress Ink and Leaf Green Archival Ink
Tree Frosting: Rock Candy Distress Glitter
Stamp: Ledger Script (Stampers Anonymous)
Ribbon: Metallic Trimmings
Embellishments: Big Chat, Christmas Tokens, Wire Pin, Mirrored Star, Tiny Attacher

I did a little over stamping on the trees with Leaf Green Archival Ink. For the graduating tree die cut about 1/3 off and 2/3 off the tress using the bottom edge of the Evergreen die. Just positioning the tree at the bottom edge and send through your machine again.

I really want to thanks all of you for leaving me comments on the blog, Facebook and Instagram, I love hearing from you and appreciate the love!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Have you seen the new Distress Color!!!
"CANDIED APPLE"
