Sizzix - Thinlits aren't just for paper!

Hello friends! When I think of Thinlits I think of using paper but they will also cut other thin surfaces like fabric. Here are a few projects I made for Creativations with fabric and felted wool.

I purchased a tote from one of the chain stores so if you're not a sewer this is a great choice. I used a fusible web like Wonder Under* and ironed it to the back of my wool then die cut the flower and letters as if it was paper. Super easy.
*Wonder Under is a paperbacked fusible interfacing. Peel one side and apply with an iron to the back of wool, die cut as usual, peel and stick to finished piece and iron again to adhere.
Here is a close up! You could always add stitching if you want but it looks great just the way it is.

Create a framed piece with a pot full of flowers.

The pot was cut from cork fabric and a little tag was added.

Pillows are also a great option. The light bulb was cut from a steel rule die, ironed on to the background fabric then stitching was added around the bulb and the filament.

I used a gold metallic embroidery floss for the filament.

Adding a verse to a simple pillow is very easy and could even be added to a purchase pillow. I love this new alphabet, Society XL Bigz die!

Think outside the box when using your Sizzix dies! Fabric is always an option.

Thanks for stopping by.

One of my favourite projects was your light bulb pillow and I really like the shopping bag idea too. Anne x
