Memoranda Block Pillows

Hello friends! I've been taking some time to sew a little more lately and I made these quick and easy pillows with the new Memoranda fabrics. I love the soft colors and vintage vibe it's perfect for any decor.
If you can sew a straight line you can make these pillows. Let's get started!

CUT LIST

Fabric B, cut:
(1) 10 1/2” x 5 1/2” (26.67 x 13.97cm)

Fabric D, cut:

Fabric E, cut:
(1) 16 1/2” x 16 1/2” (41.91 x 41.91cm) (pillow back)
Cut all the pieces from the above chart.
All seams allowances are ¼” (.64cm) and pieces are sewn right sides together.

Sew the three rectangles RST (right sides together) as shown above.

Press the sewn seams to the center or towards the darker fabric.

Sew the large rectangle to the 3 sewn rectangles and press the seam to one side.

OPTION: Add decorative stitching as desired before you sew the pillow together.

Sew the pillow back to the sewn piece RST leaving a 10" opening on one edge for stuffing the pillow. Trim the corners as shown.

Turn right side out, stuff the pillow inside cover and pin or clip closed. Hand sew (or machine stitch) the pillow closed with a ladder stitch.

Love the simplicity of the block pillow.

For fun add hand stitching to accent the seams.
