Hello Friends! Quilt Market is fast approaching this weekend in Houston, Texas so I wanted to share this fun sewing project using the new Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements Thread.
I'm a Big fan of the new Craft Thread. The thread is thick for hand stitching, it has a dull finish, sews beautifully without tangling and comes in 3 color palettes warm colors, cool colors and neutrals. I love that it's on a spool so there's no tangling and you don't have to separate it. If you want to learn more about the thread head over to Paula Cheney's blog.
I created this fun purse with patchwork and little stitched flowers.
Mother of pearl buttons and vintage lace makes the perfect addition.
Look how the French Knots make cute flowers over the stitched band.
Even the Hearts are hand stitched with the Eclectic Elements Craft Thread.

OMG ... the work on that purse is fabulous... love those Mother of Pearl buttons ! Those French knots so very pretty ( I still can't do a descent French knot) !!
I will have to add this to my Christmas wish list. I love it - the lace is beautiful and I'm a sucker for french knots (I never twirl them the right way on the first one...lol) Vicki

Richele, your purse is beautiful!!! I love every detail!!! Congratulations on having it in the magazine!!!!!!! I'm thinking of getting a new sewing machine and adding more stitching to my projects.... once we are done working on the house.
Seriously, you could start mass producing just this purse and be filthy rich in no time! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this. The hand stitching...oh those french knotted flowers and hearts...just beyond fabulous! Your always inspire, and now I am starting a new pinterest board, and this one will be first!
